Browser Interact

Hi. I'm completely new to OBS but I'm streaming my web browser to VRChat now (so that's good news). A couple of questions for those that know. Is there any way to "plug" a browser into the browser that is used to Interact? I'm doubtful but the built in one seems limited to me. I can set google.com as the URL and of course that site appears. Using Interact I can type into the search input and a new page displays. I can find no way to return to the previous page or (in this case) the one I set as the default. Doesn't it seem like there should be a way to reset to the default page?

Related but not identical. Google.com displays in dark mode. Theoretically I can set it to light mode in the settings but once I get into settings (like I mentioned in the first message) I can't get back to google.com I'm stuck in settings. Even opening the Browser doesn't do anything to reset the default link. Changing the URL ever so slightly would (a trailing \) but it doesn't remember the settings so I'm back in dark mode. AND the worst part is that the results show up as white blocks with a black background making it very hard to read. I'm not complaining about Google I'm wondering why the only browser we can use for Interaction works this way. Have others noticed this?

I'm curious if anyone is using this. I'm new so I could certainly be misunderstanding everything but I've gotten a lot of software to work over the decades. So now... I've set the output (everywhere I could find a setting) in OBS to 1080 x 720. I have a video player in my VRC world with the maximum resolution set to 1080. But the image that is projected does not quite fill the space and (as I recall) is slightly shifted to the left which cuts off a small part of the display. The "Preview: Scene" seems to be correct, the red box completely encompasses the browser display. The "Program: Scene" seems to be a little shifted to the side so the left edge is not all visible. I just fixed that by turning off Studio Mode and then turning it back on. Now the program and the preview look the same.

I would like to be able to control the web page being displayed from VRChat. I have an API that I use to control all sorts of things in my world and I can certainly send data in the form of a URL to it. Does anyone know if there is a mechanism (and what that mechanism is) or documentation with an example (if I'm lucky) that shows how I might set the URL that appears in the Browser source and how to force it to be loaded?

Well this one I seem to have solved. Changed the resolution to 1280 x 720 so I can get a nice 16:9 ratio. Set the VRC video player appropriately and the various size-related settings in OBS. Even added a couple of images so I can transition from an image to the web browser. The other questions remain a mystery to me.

I found a plug-in https://github.com/OVERKLOC/window-dock that I hoped would give me the access I was looking for but didn't quite get it to work yet. I may need to contact the author. The biggest issue with the default Interact window is that there is no way (that I can find) to reload the default website short of clearing the URL and pasting it in again (which seemed to work). I would like to get to the URL on my browser (and any other things, like bookmarks, etc.) and for OBS to display the content (not the entire browser window).

What do people do if they want to take people on a walking tour of Google Maps for instance?

Probably capture a real browser with window capture. The integrated browser source is intended for primarily noninteractive content. Required interaction such as logging in to some website and clicking away a popup window is possible, but if you need real interaction and full featured real web surfing, capture a real browser window such as a standalone Chrome.

I opened a browser added a Window Capture and scaled things appropriately. I use Vivaldi and it permits a lot of customization which is handy. I will predict that Window Capture will be quite useful, thanks.
