So I just started using OBS and its a great program. I have all the settings using the Twitch OBS setup guide found on their main site. I'm living in Toronto, Canada and have a download speed of 33.2mbps and upload speed of 2mbps. I was able to stream an MMO perfectly fine without internet lag but with Super Street Fighter (fighting game) my internet connection is laggy when playing against people. I'm only using OBS, I don't have my stream open and nobody in my house is using my internet. My computer has 8gb ram, AMD FX 8320 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 760 GPU. Here are my settings for OBS:
- Use CBR
- Use CBR Padding
- Max Bitrate= 1700, Buffer Size= 1700
- Audio is 44.1khz stereo with 128 bitrate AAC code
- I'm streaming to the Twitch server in Virginia or New York
- Custom base resolution is 1920x1080
- Resolution downscale is 1.25 (1536x864)
- FPS at 25
- Aero is disabled
- Use multithreaded optimizations enabled
- Process priority class is normal
- x264 cpu preset is very fast
- x264 encoding profile is main (wouldn't let me broadcast without setting to main)
- keyframe interval at 2
- Use CFR enabled
