Blurry text - again

Hi folks,

I've watched youtube videos and searched the forum - even though lots and lots of folks talk about blurry or blurry-ish text in a window capture, I haven't seen a solution.

I don't think my computer is hardware-challenged, so I don't think that's part of the problem.

If I had to use a descriptive word, I'd say the recording looks like it's in 720p (I also have a camera being recorded, and IT looks nice and crisp, meaning it's not the recording itself?)...the recording is not what I'd call horrible, but it's CERTAINLY not crisp like my actual desktop or window.

I have canvas and output both set to 1920x1080, and the downscale filter is Lanczsos (but I'n not downscaling, right?), 36 samples, and "indistinguishable" file quality. I'v tried recording the window when it's smaller than my full screen, and with it maximized (thinking that might make a difference...it doesn't).

As far as I can tell, none of those settings changes made a bit of difference.

Thanks so much

Here is the log:

It looks like it's in 720p because it is in 720p.
18:02:49.307: base resolution: 1920x1080
18:02:49.307: output resolution: 1280x720

Your camera looks crisp because it's resolution is set to 1024x576, about a quarter of the base.

Thanks for the quick response. But I'm confused. I actually do have output resolution set to 1920x1080. That was the first setting I changed. I understand you are looking at the log and it says 1280x720?

Is there more than one place to set output resolution?

Thanks.

Right. OBS generates a logfile during runtime, not only recording/streaming. It keeps the ten last ones, at next start the oldest will be overwritten.

Your new log seems to be cut and incomplete, anyway. But at least the base and output resolution now fits what you wrote.
Your camera input still have this odd resolution 1024x576. Meaning at least even lower resolution than 720p for the camera content. Shouldn't play a big role if you're using PIP (picture in picture) for your webcam only, sitting in one corner.

So if the problem still exists, make a test recording and/or streaming and provide the link here to show that issue. Thx.

Your log does show a recording and it should be in 1080 given the following:
15:53:30.554: base resolution: 1920x1080
15:53:30.554: output resolution: 1920x1080
...
15:54:12.037: width: 1920
15:54:12.037: height: 1080
