Blurry Streaming Issue

Hi

I wonder if you can help. I'm trying to use OBS for some teaching in Teams, but I'm finding that everything at the viewer end is blurred - although it looks good at my side. Recording is clear so the issue appears to be only with streaming.

I have tried various scaling and bitrate options after reading posts in here, but nothing improves the clarity in any way.

I'm also tried testing it with YouTube live streaming, changing things and repeating, but output there is absolutely awful too.

I'm probably missing something obvious but I'm stumped. Can anyone help please.

Thank you

Logged in as admin to generate a new log in case that provides more info. Also, this is the type of quality I'm getting.

Teams may be reducing the resolution of the incoming virtual camera stream, since cameras are typically for someone's face where resolution isn't very important. Youtube should have been fine though - make sure you were watching in the highest quality. A log from a Youtube stream session would be helpful to know more.

Thank you for taking the time to reply :)

I think posting here may have inadvertently solved my problem - I was just going through a couple more tests before updating.

Looking at my log file here made me realise that I wasn't running as an administrator - I decided to run OBS again (elevated), did a few tests and the output is much improved. It stabilises on YouTube after about 10 seconds and is clear from there on in. I was able to get around the initial 10 second issue by just throwing a dummy image in. (https://youtu.be/q40sFgMyYiI)

It's not perfect in Zoom but it's readable (which it wasn't before). I'm just going to see if it helps in Teams too. But I think this may have been my issue.
