Blu Ray

I've been copying blu ray discs (with the help of an HDMI Capture card) without any problems until today. I have the Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Collection (blu ray and 4KHD), but when copying the blu ray (with all settings the same as before), I get an error message anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes in. Tried on two of the four discs, same result.

Is/are there setting that I might could tweak?

And even without a optical drive in your computer you can get USB optical drives. OBS is the wrong tool for the job, the quality loss doing it with OBS is big and the process is slow and failure prone

Thanks for the info. Any ideas of a better program? I just grabbed OBS because that is one that the maker of the HDMI Capture Card suggested. I'm playing straight from my LG blu ray player.

If you're going to recompress anyway then recording from the Blu-Ray player is probably almost as good as using a program like MakeMKV to copy the BluRay and then re-encoding it. But maybe it's just the HDCP copy protection messing up your recording

no, OBS does have no syncing, so you end up with dublicated and skipped frames + you lose the sound quality. That is not all like copy the Bluray and re-encoding it, it is a big quality loss.
