The video is perfectly recorded.

No audio on any video recording.

The audio , during the recording,is correctly indicated by the VU meters. But on the final recording totally mute.
Also the monitoring, even selectin Monitor Only or MOnitor & Output: it's muted

On the 28.0.x version, everything was working fine.

Is it a bug? O did you have made some key-change on some setting?

The streaming is working fine. The video recording: no.

EDIT: here the log https://obsproject.com/logs/yCKmYwfFwaZCf07j

UPDATE: I downgraded to 28.1.2 and up there: the audio is working fine.
The 29.x.x has a blocking bug on video recording.

Same problem here.
Windows 10 machine with AMD 3700x and AMD graphics, direct loopback through RME audio interface.
The OBS meter shows incoming signal, everithing seems ok, but recorded clips have NO AUDIO despite OBS receiving correctly

I updated with the LOG. I had to restart OBS to get it. so I selected "previous log"

Please notice that I'm using OBS under this configuration since years. Now the 29.x.x no audio. I'm blocked.

Big issue with 29 on Video Recording.

Are you able to reproduce this without 3rd party plugins?
It's exactly the same because I get no audio not only from the DAW but also from the MIC directly connected to OBS via Audio Interface. Not any 3rd party plugin on it.

As I said 28.1.2 is working and 29.0.x not at all

There are way too many plugins in your log to isolate what might be going on, hence why you should try it on a clean install. If it doesn't occur, then add your plugins back one by one to isolate what is causing the problem.

Please note I read another person having the same issue (on a group on FB) and I see @BigJoe as well ...

Because with this machine, I'm working. I can't mess up the DAW and a working machine for this.
If I remove all the plugins: tomorrow I close everything and I go to the station to beg for alms

I re-summarize

Streaming: Everything is ok: audio and video
Using it in video conferencing: everything is fine.
Recording the video: video is ok, audio is totally absent.

Same machine same everything, downgrading to 28.1.2: everything is working perfectly.

I will not update to any 29.x.x till the moment this bug is solved.

From now on, because this is a not acceptable major issue, on any official release I will use an UAT environment, I will test EACH functionality upfront any installation, against a checklist.

Unfortunately I had top trust on the Beta-Testing.
I blame myself for this.

I gave for granted that such thing couldn't never ever have issues.
I was damn wrong.

Actually I will keep the 28.1.2 for the time being.

On my end i found a solution, working at least on my system.
For some reason audio tracks where disabled (and i really never touch that, i use always the very same settings), ticked those ON but still no sound.
Then i went to my OUTPUT SETTINGS and changed the encoder from AMD something (can't remember) to AMD HW H.264 (AVC).
The previous encoder is not present anymore in the dropdown list (that's why i can't remember the name) and there's no way for me to reproduce the buggy behaviour anymore.
Now everything works.

Side note: i've not updated windows or drivers recently, the only thing was updated was OBS.
With the new encoder everithing seems to work as expected, still i can't figure out what caused the problem.

Which version do you have of OBS please?

I tired 29.0.0, 29.0.1, 29.0.2: no audio
28.1.2: perfect!

However just to give the entity: the recording of a 1h 30' Videoconference (normally no issues with 28.1.2) is completely muted.

Ok the issue is confined to a specific configuration not stereo and not mono.
So from 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 etc ...

Ok it seems that the fork have being committed. The 29.0.3 should resolve this issue.
I do hope it will be released as soon as possible just in days, because it's blocking.

A big thanks to the developers.
