Question / Help Blinking Cursor

I'm aware this has been posted several times, but the posts are all old and unhelpful. I'm using Game capture and Video Capture devices in my scene. If you have any other questions, let me know. Are there any settings I need to have on or off in order to stop the blinking? Sometimes it will disappear for several seconds or completely until I turn off the stream.

I remember this happening to me on games that operate via OpenGL. For some reason OpenGL games, like, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, does not work with Game Capture...Well it does work, but it flickers. The only fix I could find for this is by running the game windowed and running Window Capture, but then again, who likes doing that?...

It's not your in-game settings, it is with OBS or the coding of the game working with the Game Capture Source. Is it just the mouse cursor flickering, or the game as well?

1 -- Not all OpenGL games have this issue; Minecraft captures just fine in fullscreen.
2 -- Nothing wrong with running a game in a window. For example, you could consider running a game in a so-called borderless window. A lot of games already have this option and it's only becoming more and more common. In fact, I predict that reasonably soon (within the next few years tops), actual fullscreen will simply have completely been replaced with borderless window (also known as a fullscreen window).
3 -- Nothing wrong with using Game Capture for a windowed game. I capture Minecraft like that; I play it in a 1600x900 window and capture it with Game Capture. It's not a problem.

My issue when putting on Windowed-Fullscreen is that it brings my FPS down to about 3, and to me that's unplayable. To clarify, Guitarist, it is JUST my cursor, both in and out of game. I t happens sporadically as well, and I never know when that time will be.

I only turned it off because my computer told me it would run better without it on, and that was just recently.

Edit - Only turned off Aero*, that is.

The only situation where you'd want to disable Aero is when using Monitor Capture in Windows 7. Which isn't recommended anyhow. Safest bet really is just to leave Aero enabled.

Why would you be against monitor capture? Also, it happens out of game as well, but only when OBS is recording.
