Question / Help Blackscreen when switching from Monitor to Game

Hi!

I've been streaming for 1 week now and this problem keeps popping up. It's extremely random and never makes sense.

I will be streaming and League of Legends will start up so I will swap my OBS over to Game Capture and sometimes it just gives me a black screen. I try to refresh the Source, sometimes it works on first refresh and sometimes it takes 3-4 minutes. I've had to play a whole game using Monitor Capture before because when I tried to swap between scenes it just stayed as a black screen.

During this stream at 11:50 it works first time, Later on at 2:23:25 it takes me spamming the refresh button to work.

The best way to stream LoL is to set up 2 scenes. First, keep Aero enabled. Then, in the first scene, have a Window Capture of the LoL client, and in the second scene, have a Game Capture of the actual LoL game. Then use the Simple Scene Switcher to automatically swap between them: https://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1785 Avoid Monitor capture altogether.

It's important to have the game capture and window capture in separate scenes so that the game capture reinitializes every time.
