obs works fine with other games, i can use Game Capture and Software Capture perfectly fine i been useing the program for sometime now and i love it.

but...
When i try stream games like mortal online or vindictus i have trouble getting it to show my game i just get a black screen in both versions of the client 32bit and 64bit.

it shows that it has found the game, when i use game capture settings but gives me a blackscreen.
with software capture it just stays on my desktop like it is not really picking up the game.

at first i had trouble getting it to show that i even had vindictus playing had to keep restarting my pc and programs for it to work. then i got a blacksreen..

this is what ive tryed so far to get it to work but got no luck.
in windowed mode.
ive changed res of the game lower & higher.
ive resized the windowed box of the game.
ive tryed running as admin both the game and broadcaster.
ive tweeked my broadcaster settings and tested it out on blacklight and it works fine.
im fully updated to lateset version of broadcaster.
and i looked on fourm at other posts but couldnt find anything to help me.

also with world of warcraft when i hit stream or preview it just crashes the game on me to, all other games work fine.

Mortal Online and Vindictus may have anti-hacking protection in place that prevents game capture from hooking to the framebuffer, not much you can do there aside from inner window capture or monitor capture.

As for WoW, you currently need to run it in DirectX 9 mode, or else it crashes game capture.

Hey,

I've been using OBS lately, mainly to record and stream WoW, and it's been fine.
WoW was running in DX11 with no problems, game capture. But since last update, 0.472b, WoW gives just a black screen.

joshlive - yea, -could- be an anti-cheat thing, but I'm not entirely sure. I'd probably have to try them out myself at some point

zeaf - can I see both a log file and the log file from %appdata%\obs\pluginData\captureHookLog.txt ?

Same thing here, game source was working fine when the beta update first came out, then the update yesterday just gives me a black screen every time I hit preview stream.

edit: Just tried again to get a log file and it randomly works again *shrug*

Seems like it's working today, for some reason.

Maybe it was the restart, maybe I had to restart the game after OBS update, dunno.
Although shutdown in Windows 8 is not really a restart, so it's probably the latter.
But it's working now, so all good :)
