This program is driving me nut, my husband has the exact identical laptop right down to the drivers as I do yet some how he got his program to work but doesn't remember how he did.

I have tried everything I have searched through google and even tried dancing around my computer to please the little gremlins inside but nothing works.

Yes I have Nvidia Optimus, yes I have forced the program to run on Nvidia Optimus, yes my game is in windowed mode, and still its showing a defiant black screen. I am using Windows 7 and I have Areo force disabled with the program. What am I doing wrong?

yes plz post a log...but i do notice you said youre trying to use Gamecapture, which is used for fullscreen games even, yet you're running the game in windowed mode. That right there might be part of the problem.

Im on my husbands computer atm, but everything I have been reading says you want to put gamecapture in windowed mode because it does not work in fullscreen. I am trying to get my WoW to work.

Playing a game in windowed mode should not prevent it from being captured by game capture.

I don't know if it matters but on my computer I don't have the force obs to run with nvidia option. I have the nvidia latest drivers and all. And on the little task tray icon I have that option to force all things to run with it.

It definitely matters. For Game capture to work, OBS has to be running on the same GPU as the game.

Are you saying that you don't seen an option in your drivers to do that? Or that you see it, but it's not set?

Also, please post your log when you have a chance.

No your suppose to be able to be able to force OBS into it when you right click on the desktop icon it brings your menu down and you can selece run in GPU or something like that, but I don't have that menu, and in my nvidia control panel it has it selected to show that menu but it doesnt show.

After hours of sitting and banging my head against my laptop the little gremlins gave in and got my OBS to work! Which makes me rather happy because it is a great program and I didn't want to pay for xsplit.

If any one has issues this is what I did, I uninstalled OBS went to: C->Users->(w/e your user name is mine is Doctor)Doctor->AppData->Roaming in there is a little folder called OBS I deleted it after the uninstall, when I reinstalled OBS it showed up on the game cam!
