I need a few pointers on working with the BM intensity pro using Camcorder (not webcam).
I'm working on several setups for cameras and audio with OBS.
To begin I am just working with OBS to record to disk.
My purpose being to become familiar enough with OBS before live streaming.
Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card installed and working
Camcorder is Sony HDR-SR12 with HDMI out,which is plugged into capture card.
Camcorder has MIC input 3.5 mm jack for remote audio connection
My audio input is from USB or XLR out from ATR2100 Audio Technica Mic.
I have conversion adapter from XLR to 3.5mm
This is for using XLR of mic to 3.5 mm and can be plugged direct to camcorder 3.5 input.
This way I should have audio from the mic and video from the camcorder going to HDMI input of capture card.
I am not familiar enough with OBS to know how well it will handle the mix for the audio and lipsync properly with the video.
So, I thought it might be best to have the audio going into the camcorder and let the output from the HDMI of the camcorder send to the capture card.
I have a focusrite 2i2 audio interface I can use if needed.
I'm not sure how I would set this up properly using the capture card.
Maybe there are links or discussions to what I am asking. I've not found.
