Question / Help Black Window Capture

Hi, I've been using OBS without too many issues for the past week or so. When I stream my game (MapleStory) it shows up fine, but when I try and overlay Spotify into the stream so people can see the name of the song, the Spotify source is just showing up as a black box. Not sure what to do to fix it.

Here's an image of the problem:

Do you have several GPUs? It could be that Spotify is not running on the same one as Maple Story. I have a similar problem because I use both a graphics card and the iGPU so I either need to unplug my 3rd monitor (disabling the iGPU) or use Monitor Capture.

If the game is an OpenGL game you basically have to either disable aero or use game capture. Also, if you want to use game capture, try out the latest test build which has a new version of OpenGL capture.

What modes are you using to capture either? Game, Window, Monitor, etc, etc, etc.

I'm using window capture for both. Game capture doesn't work for MapleStory, and I just tried Monitor capture (which does work, which is pretty cool I guess so at the very least I have a usable alternative), but I still can't figure out if there is a way to have two monitor captures working at the same time.
Edit: It works fine with Notepad, so it must just be Spotify?

I have no idea, sorry. Here's a link to the graphics card I have: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop ... ifications

I can't say for sure whether or not it's Spotify being iffy on you, I don't use it myself. Does Spotify use custom skins? If so, try disabling any custom skins for the time being and going with the default skin. Just to have tried that.

It doesn't, or if it does, I don't have any installed.
