Bug Report Black Screens in Browsers & Video Players Since 2020 But Not Desktops

I'm not sure exactly which update caused it, but last year, I was able to capture individual browser screens and VLC media player in Window Capture individually. I mostly use camera feeds, so I did not notice it, but when I tried to screen record a language lesson in my browser I got a black screen. Oddly, if I capture the whole desktop, I can see the contents of both browsers and VLC. So I've been making huge capture files as a result of this newly introduced bug, because it's the only way to screen record the contents of my language sessions on Preply now.
Any help on fixing the issue to make it work like 2019 versions would be appreciated.

How do we do that? I don't have the original installer from last year anymore.
