Question / Help Black screen?

No idea if this is the right place howeverr...

I'm attempting to livestream Assassin's Creed III, however, if I try to use the "Game Capture" it goes to the infamous black screen but will still have sound. If I try to use the "Monitor Capture", it does the same thing.

ACIII does not have a windowed mode, so I can't do the "Window Capture" or work around it like that. I've been all over the internet, and I can't find a way to cheat AC3 into windowed mode that works for me. Is there anyway to make AC3 show up properly on the livestream, or does the ubisoft overlay essentially ruin that?

Similar problem. It records the sound just fine but no video. I've changed the settings around a few times and still nothing. Changed the resolution, capture rate. Added the game to global sources.

The one thing I did not do was add the game to sources lol. Thought it would be automatic since it was on global and I was originally on full screen. I got it to capture! Just don't like the quality of the video. Don't know if it's my PC or the program but the capture becomes blurry the moment I start to move outside (probably because of the weather effects in game?) I stand still in a room and it looks better again.

Lito: You haven't actually added any sources to your scene. Even if you add something as a global source, you still have to add it to the current scene by right clicking the sources listbox and selecting Add->Global source->the name of your source.

As for the OP, you may have to disable the uPlay overlay in order to properly capture AC3.

The blur is because of the bit rate, doing 720p when there's a lot going on (such as rain and other weather effects) with only 1000Kbps to work with is never going to look especially good, no matter the settings.

If you want better quality, increase your bit rate, just keep in mind that the streaming service you use (if you're streaming) also needs to be able to present video with that bit rate to the viewers.

My issues are resolved! I upped the bit rate since I'm not streaming and wow, what an improvement on the quality! Might have derailed the this thread a little bit but thanks for the help paibox!

The error code translates to "there was not enough memory to complete this operation". (Also, could you try running the 64bit version of the application instead of the 32bit version?)
