Question / Help Black screen within OBS when using Display Capture

Hello,

My OBS window sometimes stays black when I use a scene that is just a display/monitor capture. It doesn't appear this way all the time, and I can't seem to find out why. I am only using OBS to record local files, no streaming at all. This does basically nothing for me, or at least I don't understand what "select the nvidia" means.

As you can see on line 500 I'm switching to "Hearthstone" which is just a display capture. Maybe it doesn't work because I'm not running OBS as administrator? But then why does it work from time to time? Maybe it doesn't work after I captured a game?

Thanks for reading and your help

You have 3 display captures and 1 display. They're going to have trouble.
Additionally, you have like 10-15 game captures when you're only ever playing one game at a time.

Strip back to 2 scenes. 1 for display capture, 1 for game capture.
Use the hotkey selection method for the game capture.

Except that having multiple display capture sources trying to capture the same display will have all of them tripping over each other, likely causing none of them to work.

Change the game capture source to the "hotkey" option. Set a hotkey in settings - hotkeys for that source, then use the hotkey when you launch the game.

Does that mean I need like 15 hotkeys? Or what am I not getting here.

No. You're not getting that you only have ONE game capture source and each time you change games you press the SAME hotkey to switch the game capture source to point at the active game.
