Question / Help Black screen with laptop

Hi all,

I just found OBS today and have been trying all day to no avail to get the program to work with my laptop. I've read over the stickied thread and unfortunately I only have an onboard Intel HD 4000 graphics chip. I don't have a separate card to switch to for recording. So, my question is with this limitation, will I be able to actually use the program at all?

4GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
Intel HD 4000 Graphics

If you only have the HD4000 and no other GPU, you should still be able to stream with OBS. Can you post your log? http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=97

So I don't haha. I've added one now but for some reason it's not mounting. I can put in all of the setting but in the main sources box it's still blank. How do I fix that?

Okay, now I have another question. I got the monitor capture to work but when I try to boot up a game it displays a black screen again. The sound does record, however.

You can't monitor capture a fullscreen game. Either play Windowed Fullscreen or use Game Capture.

I just now stumble upon the game capture option. Apologies for my rookie questions but, thank you for being so helpful.
