Question / Help Black Screen with Game Capture

I'm trying to record Deus Ex. I tried the game capture function, but my recording had only audio, and the screen remained completely black(excepting Fraps' fps count). Is there a solution?

Is this the original Deus Ex you're talking about? I don't believe that runs under DX9 or later by default, which is required for game capture.

Yea, it can only capture games with directx 9/10/11, or opengl games currently.

I'm pretty sure its possible to run Deus Ex in DX9 or even DX10 mode, though...There are instructions on the internet, somewhere.

Well, this is an extremely old thread and OBS is able to capture DX8 now, so please make a new thread and include a log file.
