Question / Help Black Screen With Game Capture

I just opened up OBS with Total War: Warhammer and did a few mic tests, on the first the video capture was working fine but when I did it a second and third time the video was just a black screen when I viewed it. Audio works fine and I can even see a bit of the title and particle effects from the main menu but overall it's too black to see anything. A few things that differ between what I saw other people experiencing is that my stream preview and thumbnail are showing the game's main menu screen correctly rather than black.

I searched for a solution to this but everything I saw was either for laptops or the fix was enabling anti-cheat hook, but that is enabled and I'm on a desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

When you go into Sources,Into the Game which your Playing on OBS,Go into the Source. In the Middle there will be a option known as "Use Hotkey",Dont enable it,but just go down until you see a thing known as "Anti-Cheat Compatibility hooking (Use if Necessary)" Enable that, then when your inside it should Work,But if that doesn't work then still put that on and put the game as "Windowed" meaning you play while you are Tabbed,So when you preview the game which you are playing it should pop up,otherwise if it doesn't its a technical issue.

It may be that your not In "Windowed Mode" meaning that the OBS Software cant record while you play Fullscreen,In games there is "Fullscreen Windowed" or just "Windowed" perhaps that is your solution.

That doesnt really matter at all. The pure purpose of Game Capture is being able to play games Fullscreen.

Are you running OBS as Admin?

The purpose of game capture is to capture games regardless of how they're being displayed.
