Question / Help Black Screen while streaming - not laptop.

Howdy support team!

I've recently started streaming on Twitch, and am experiencing the black screen I see somewhat commonly referenced here. I'm not running a laptop, but tried to follow the instructions in the read me first. What I found (perhaps only different because I'm desktop?) is that in the Nvidia Control Panel I can't seem to execute what you are suggesting. I see OBS in there, but it was already added. The instruction immediately below doesn't seem to work either, as there is no drop down box below the global tab?

Or alternatively, here's a bit easier step-by-step for Game Capture:
Nvidia's control panel -> 3D settings on the left -> Global tab on the right -> Click the drop-down box below that, select the nvidia -> Click Apply and OK -> Restart OBS and game.

Computer is plenty powerful enough, and my twitch connection clearly not an issue. It is only happening while using Game Cap, Monitor Cap works fine.

Please offer some advise on how to correct moving forward. Thank you!

It appears that you've placed a monitor capture source above the game capture source, which would cause monitor capture to go black if the game is launched in full screen mode. Be sure to place the game capture source above monitor capture.

Hi Sapiens,

Thank you for the advice. I'm not positive that's the case, as I actually even disabled the monitor view and it seems to be on the bottom (just to be clear, reading the sources top to bottom is the order they're layered in OBS, correct?)

Either way, I'll remove the monitor source altogether and see if that fixes it! As silly as it is, the main reason it's there is so viewers can watch me play minesweeper while loading screens are on haha.

Cheers, keep you posted.
