Bug Report Black Screen while recording

I recently switched from Fedora 30 to Rawhide and OBS doesn't record anymore. I only get a black screen containing my mouse. You can find the log here: https://obsproject.com/logs/XlZCJ9KX8RyuRuwX.
Furthermore the preview isn't there. It's completely transparent and doesn't show the recorded scene.

You are probably running Wayland instead of X11. XSHM does not work in Wayland mode. Either start a session in X11 instead of Wayland or use other sources.

@Tuna Ah, that's correct, it's Wayland. Is there any working source for capturing the screen?

There is some plugin from me in the plugin section. Which basically uses GNOME screen sharing API to get the screen data and injects it to OBS. It probably does perform worse than XSHM and you need to figure out how to build it :-)

That repo also has a "mutter" branch which uses a newer API - but same you need to figure out yourself if can make it work.

I think either way currently supports GNOME desktop only. Eventually it will move to the freedesktop API which will then work on all desktops who support it, but thats future talk.
