I've seen lots of posts about black screens, but they are all about game capture or Nvida video cards. I have neither. I am trying to stream live video from an SV3C IP video camera (with audio) to my Facebook page. It works great for periods of time (sometimes 10s of hours, sometimes 30 minutes), and then the screen just goes black. I can turn the OBS display off and on using the eye icon in the sources list, and it restores the video to OBS and to Facebook. I have been trying to correlate the black screens with something, and no luck. I have had it happen even when no frames were dropped, I have had it happen when lots of frames were dropped. FYI, the video from the camera is getting to PBS via a wifi network. Could that be the problem? If so, how? Do I need to address data rate issues with some internal setting in OBS? I just have no idea where to proceed. Very frustrating because this has been happening on and off for a couple of weeks now. Also, stopping and restarting the stream is not a lasting fix, either. FYI, we have an app from the camera manufacturer that has a continuous feed - never goes black even when the OBS screen is black. Unfortunately we can't stream from that, so we need OBS.
