black screen when zooming in

I'm running obs 29.1.2 64bit on windows 10. I've managed to download python 3.11 and set up the zoom and follow mouse.py script. I'm capturing my display image but when I zoom in the preview window in OBS goes black - I can no longer see the display image in the preview. I can see the red box lines going in and out but there's no image.

I did a google search before posting but all the resuklts are about MS Zoom (aarrgghh)

I found that the problem only happens when I have two monitors connected. OBS acts strangely and doesn't work when my second display is on. To fix it, I just turn off my second monitor when I need to record a zoomy video. I hope this helps you!
