hi, im really really lost, cant figure out what i have to do? I get black screen when i want to stream with my elgato hd60 through OBS i have window 10, and dont know what to do? all me settings a set up for twitch, Monitor capture and window recorder is working just fine, but when i will use a game capture device, "BLACK SCREEN" i play Xbox one, just so u know :( any one who can help me? illl be greatfull

What are you using the elgato for then? elgato is either for streaming console games or for a 2 PC setup. one would be for gaming cloned display, one for your PC monitor the other to the elgato, and the second PC for streaming. USB goes in to the stream PC which OBS will capture and encode. if you dont have either of the setups described above, then you have no use for the elgato.hi, im really really lost, cant figure out what i have to do? Second, post a logfile from the help menu. it sounds to me that you have a single scene with multiple types of sources (game or window captures, etc.)

i want to stream console gaming :) but i gets a black screen when using elgato trough OBS "and i only have 1 scene with one source "Game capture device" but when i test stream i gets a black screen, and cant figure out what to do? all is setup at the right way
Not having the black screen problem but I am having a problem where it won't let me configure my elgato settings on obs. I have tried previewing it at the same time that I configure but it's not working and all I get is the configure button grayed out. I am on windows 10 also....starting to think that it's windows 10 because I heard that obs hasn't done anything to set up for people that have windows 10 yet. It streams just fine with my ps4 though but anything with ps3 and it also says that it can't find a connection. So like I said not sure if it's windows 10.

Second, the source you are looking for is called video capture device, not game capture device, so I dont think you have chosen the correct input. all of this can be settles with a logfile from the help menu.
