When using game capture / specific window, or display capture, when I tab back into my game all my viewers see is a black screen.

To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:
1) Restart OBS.
2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Send that link via this troubleshooting tool or whichever support chat you are using.

This issue goes way back for me, at least half a year ( I have a feeling it has something to do with two monitors, one 4k DP, one 1920x1200 HDMI on my side). While trying to grab FF XIV game (windowed borderless) in 4k, OBS is on second screeen, and all I can get is a black screen in Game Capture / Specific Window. But also Any Fullscreen Application doesn't work. It's like hooking stopped working at all.

Well, game capture is made to capture full screen games, not random programs. For this you have window-capture or display-capture. Some games can't even be captured by game-capture and you have to use one of the other 2 methods.

I use full screen and its still a black screen, even with window capture.
