Question / Help Black screen when streaming

Hi,

When i stream my gamplay in twitch, the game appears in black. I have a camera also that works fine, but the game area is completely in black. I add the game as a game (fullscreen) and it works fine when the computer is just rebooted and i make my first stream (the game is viewed perfect), but if i open other game or just try another stream later, the game is in black again.

I've been searching around and trying many configurations but the problem persists.

Ah, we talked in the other thread, is this still a problem for you? Or was it the minimized game? :)

It's still a problem, and it's happening to me in 2 computers.

1) The first one is a good gaming laptop. Following this thread http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2510 i've seen what could be the problem and i'll be trying today.

2) The second is a common PC that could be not powerful enough. It sometimes streams and sometimes is in black or telling me that is taking much resources. It's an Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 @ 2.66GHz 2.66GHz with a nVidia 9800GT.

In case this second option is not working for performance, i would like to throw you a question that is more related with PC's than with OBS itself, but it's very helpful to me to know cause i can't find the answer, and could be also helpful for other OBS users:

Trying to improve performance to stream my games, i was wondering if buying a new grpahic card could help. The graphic card itself will be much better than mine, but for example, the motherboard just support pciExpress 1.0 and new pciExpress 3.0 cards may not work corretly in that port. In the other side, OBS could work using CPU besides GPU, so just changing the graphic card could just not be enough as a solution.

So, buying a new graphic card could help people in my case or is a better solution to buy a gaming video capture device to do the work?
