Black screen when recording - tried everything

This problem started very suddenly about two months ago. One day OBS worked fine and the next day all I could get was a black screen. It's possible that a Windows update broke it.

I've tried every suggestion that I could find online, and have also uninstalled and re-installed OBS.

Game and Window Captures will not work while OBS is running on the low-power iGPU.
You'll need to set it to run on the high-performance GPU (your 1050). Here's instructions (applicable to Win10 1903 and later, Microsoft changed it and setting it in the nVidia control panel does not work any more):
