Question / Help Black screen when recording Game Capture (Intel i5 Laptop)

Hello. I have had OBS for a couple of months now and during this time span, I have been trying my best to troubleshoot a problem that had started appearing when I first started using OBS. Whenever I tried recording Minecraft (with the Badlion Client) on my laptop, the preview would just be a black screen and the only thing I could see was my cursor.

My laptop is a 3-year-old laptop which was provided by my school (yes, I don't have any other laptop in my home). There is an administrator. I don't know much about this laptop, but all I know is that I don't have a Nvidia or AMD based system. I only have Intel.

I have tried:
- Running both OBS and Minecraft as administrator
- Changing compatibility mode
- Deleting and redownloading OBS
- CTRL+R
- Opening 64bit OBS because I have a 64bit laptop
- Opening it with the administrator user on my laptop

Clean log file? : https://obsproject.com/logs/OosWR0DI_eqXERPT
Other log file... : https://obsproject.com/logs/aFwEVD5kJLHUkv56

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Not every app can be game captured, although the log indicates capture was successful. You could try display capture as a workaround.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
I've tried this with many different apps but it still doesn't seem to work. Display capture/window capture makes the recording really laggy and records at about 10fps.

Thank you
