Question / Help Black screen when recording a window capture?

Hey OBS

Basically every time I try to record a window with window capture and preview the stream, it always ends up having a black screen. I selected the correct window/application too but still shows up as a black screen. When I use game capture to record games it works just fine with no issues in any shape or form, but when I try window capture to capture a window, it just doesn't work. Would anyone be able to resolve this issue?

Some window captures will not work due to the drawing method. If you're trying to capture a browser window for example, it will give a black box if hardware acceleration is ON in the browser (turn hardware accel off and it works fine). Some windowed mode applications can also be capped with Game Captures. Some have to be capped with a cropped Monitor Capture instead (to be avoided on Win7).
