Bug Report Black screen using game capture

So i just got an Elgato but i do not like the way it changes the resolution it streams at which doesn't change. So i try stream the game with OBS still using the Game Capture software however when i add it as a Game Capture and try preview, the screen is simply black. Any help will be nice thanks, heres a picture to show the problem.

Game capture can't capture the elgato program. Would be nice admittedly but it just doesn't draw with any of the supported APIs. I am looking into the 1080p issue with the elgato.
