Black screen using desktop computer. Have been using OBS for months without issues

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help please.
I have been using OBS without issues for months, although over the last few weeks my window capture sometimes gave a black screen. I resolved this by closing down the window and OBS, the opening OBS as the first step before opening up the window. It didn't happen often, but that work around always worked.
However now, no matter what I try to do, all I have is a black screen.
Is anyone else having these issues please?
Is there a work around?
Should I uninstall OBS and reinstall it?

I have been trying to figure it out and cannot. But under sources, there is 'window capture' and 'media source' . To the right of each of these is an eye icon and a lock icon. The eye icon is greyed out and has a line through it (does that mean no access) next to 'windows capture'.
I have never noticed whether or not this was the case before, or if this has anything to do with the issue. This is the same no matter what window I am trying to record from.

Problem solved. I clicked on the eye icon! It all works now.
