Hello,
I've spent yesterday and the better half of today trying to figure out how to get this to go away to no avail. I'm not really that tech savy so any help is appreciated. I am trying to stream League of legends matches with the Game capture source though I always have a black screen. When I use Monitor capture it captures my monitor fine.

So far I have gone to the NVIDIA control panel and set the "c:program files (x86)/obs/obs.exe" to "High-performace NVIDIA processor"

I have also right clicked the OBS icon and ran with graphics processor "High-performace NVIDIA processor". Aswell as gone into the settings and switched it to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M

I have tried with Aero enabled and disabled, currently it is on I believe.

I am on a laptop.

Thank you for the log, really appreciate it. Most people just say they have a problem without posting a log sadly.

It's definitely caused by mis-matching laptop adapters. Your game is running on one adapter, OBS on another. If you haven't read the laptop black screen thread, I would highly recommend doing so.

The gist of it is:
  • In OBS' video settings, click the adapter drop-down. Select the *top* adapter, regardless of what that adapter is, in that list, and apply the changes. This is important.
  • Go to your nvidia control panel (you can get there by right clicking your desktop usually), and go to 3D settings. Then make it so the path to OBS.exe (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\OBS\OBS.exe) is set to run on the nvidia ("performance"). I would probably recommend just going to the global settings tab there and setting all applications to use nvidia as well.

After doing that, it should work. I've configured this many times for users and a black screen is always a mis-configuration for nvidia laptops.

(Note that if your game is an old game, game capture may not support it. Game capture requires directx 9+ games and opengl games in order to function currently.)
