I have this problem with OBS, that is very similar to what this link describes,
https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/
The exception to the above post is, is that this is happening on my DESKTOP it is not LAPTOP. With my current preferred setup, I have two monitors, I run my secondary monitor off of my IGP, while my primary monitor is the sole one to use the dedicated GPU (GTX 780). This works great, I am able to dedicate the dedicated card to games and such, and the IGP takes care of normal desktop related behavior.
My problem is when I go to record a game with OBS, I can not use window capture (or even game capture, but I run all my games borderless window so that option is out). Ok, fine, this is most likely because OBS is running on the IGP and the game is running on the dedicated GPU, as pointed out by the above link. However, when I go to try and get OBS to launch on the dedicated GPU, I can't seem to find the correct setting.
Because I am running on a DESKTOP, there is no option in the Nvidia Control Panel to set OBS to run off of the dedicated GPU. This is where I am stuck. I have done quite a bit of looking and nothing has come up. I would appreciated some help.
Thank You.
