First of all I use a old version of obs, and minus this recent issue, still works just fine i.e. Im pretty fine to continue using it for the time being, day before yesterday the source for my webcam logitech c920 just stopped working, it now shows just a black screen when the preview is enabled, why? Webcam works fine with its program lws.
Side note, I just downloaded obs studio and tried that to see if it was because of the age but still the same. I got a msvcp120.dll missing with the 64 bit so had to use 32 to get it to run. Tried a reinstall but same. My systems windows 8 64 bit.
Based on feedback Im getting from lws, current obs and the one I just installed, I am under the impression the assume obs's IS receiving input from the webcam, just not displaying anything.
Well seems to sorted itself out. I cant seem to delete this post.
