Black Screen on Macs?

Hi. I just downloaded OBS to try to capture video from an external device (using Diamond's VHS to DVD Digital File Converter adaptor). I can find the USB-connected adapter as a source for video capture, but I'm just getting a black screen with no video or audio coming through. (I have the Big Sur operating system.) (I see instructions for fixing this on a PC, but not a Mac.) Any ideas? Thanks!

Many years ago, Diamond MM products were decent, but only compatible with Windows. Chances are your hardware is not compatible with a Mac and requires drivers that were never produced.

Thanks. It actually worked with my Mac using QuickTime until I updated to Big Sur. This particular product was made for Mac.
