Question / Help black screen on Mac will not record display capture

Running Mac with two screens and Catalina, new to OBS. Trying to do Display Capture and only getting a black screen, help, please.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to run OBS on my Mac 10.13.6 High Sierra, however there is a black screen. So when I go to system preferences, then security and privacy, there isn't a screen recording option there. All the options there are... Location Services, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Photos, Accessibility, and Analytics. How could I fix that?????

I would try launching OBS from the terminal. Sometimes what happens is that OBS asks for this permission when it launches, and the user dismisses the dialog box. This results in no permissions granted, and OBS never asks again.
