Several days ago, shortly after having recorded a streaming film, I was no longer able to record the same type of thing. I made no adjustments to my settings and have had no problems during a few years of using this program. Following the instructions for "laptop black screen" (attempted several times) wasn't possible because some of the steps listed included selecting from a menu that simply didn't exist when I followed the instructions to get there. While I understand the concept that two graphics cards can cause this issue when one is used for the source stream, and the other is linked to the OBS software, I AM able to record from YouTube just like always, but not from the other streaming services I use. I even tried using a different software program and encountered the exact same situation. After HOURS of attempting to resolve this, I'm at wits' end and no closer to resolving this than before. I should note that every element of my desktop appears in the OBS viewing screen like always - including the usual controls at the bottom for starting, stopping, rewinding, etc., and the buffering progress meter in the center of the screen - once the actual film content begins, that part of the desktop is completely black. Nothing seems to change this. I'm really hoping that someone here with far more technical knowledge than I can help me out. Thanks in advance!
