Question / Help Black Screen Laptop - Driver Fix DID NOT work

Hello,

I last used OBS Studio Device Capture on 11/3 and everything worked fine. Today, 11/24, I went to use it again but I am getting a black screen. I tried following the directions to change the video driver and I've tried every setting before re-launching and even deleting and re-adding the Display Capture but nothing seems to have fixed it. The only notable change since last this worked was a Windows 10 update less than a week ago. In case it matters, that update was done to resolve an issue where my File Browser kept crashing.

Thanks!

My only concern is that deleting the 1909 update will bring back my File Browser error, but I suppose I will give it a shot. Aside from that detail, I have already followed the instructions listed there in terms of switching to the High Performance setting. I will give the uninstallation of the update thing a shot when I get a chance and let you know what I find.

Much thanks!

Harold, I've tried every option. The default, the NVIDIA and High Performance options all failed to work. I have yet to try uninstalling the windows update but will do asap

You need to run obs on the integrated intel for display capture to work, not the high performance nvidia.

Uninstalling the Windows update did the trick. Love it when Windows updates break things! Here's hoping my File Browser issue doesn't come back...

THANKS ALL!!!
