Question / Help Black Screen + Laggy Cursor

Hello!

I'm trying to stream MapleStory, but I can't get it to show anything.
I believe I've tried everything at this point.

I've tried different programs and different sources. The only thing I've been successful with is Game Capture CS:GO, but that is unfortunately not what I want. As far as I can read, Game Capture wont work with MapleStory.

Some guides tell me to use Window Capture for MapleStory, but it doesnt work. I tested Window Capture with Paint.exe, and I get the same result.
Monitor Capture provides the same results - black screen with just a laggy cursor. This is what I think is really weird - I don't see what could possibly be blocking Monitor Capture, even just my desktop..

Everything is running as Adminstrator.
I'm on a brand new desktop computer, so hardware shouldnt be the issue.
There's no crashing or error messages. Just the black screen.

I attached my most recent log, I'm not sure if it does you any good, but hopefully :)

I already read https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/ so I'll just reiterate that I am NOT on a laptop.

and you did that in combination with window capture and compat mode?

can you please post a fresh log with that?
want to see if the below message goes away...

It works!!!! :D

I went ahead and restarted my computer as well as unchecking "capture layered windows" as well as what you suggested.

So this seems to be a recurring problem... I just loaded up using the exact same settings that worked before. I tested with Monitor Capture, then opened up MapleStory & the Black Screen problem occurs again...

What is working with Maple story not open?

so monitor capture and window capture will only capture non-full screen games, windows, etc.

game capture will capture windows in full screen or windowed/windowed-no-border

I can stream other games & programs in both window caputre mode and monitor capture.

I did some testing, and I believe the issue is with MapleStory only. Once MapleStory.exe is running, nothing works. I was even unable to share my screen on Skype.

I doubt you can be of assistance since this is apparently unrelated to OBS. I may need to do a full reinstall.
