Hi I have been getting a black screen....I've read many post faq's watched youtube videos but none seem to help.
Most of the advice says to disable your secondary display/graphics device....I only have 1 so thats not exactly helpful.
First off let me say for my purposes here I am not streaming just using the recording feature. Second I'm trying to play an older game so game capture is not an option it has to be full monitor or window capture.
So when I check the preview window everything seems to be working fine. But once I finish recording a clip and watch the saved file I just get a black screen. The audio works fine but the video is just black.
Like I said I only have 1 display adapter: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M
I'm running Windows Vista....the game is Yoot Tower also known as Sim Tower 2
that being said i've also tried to record my desktop and internet browser and had the same problem so i dont think its the game.
I've tried both Window Capture and Monitor Capture with:
Compatibility mode both on and off
Aero Enabled and Disabled
Capture Layered Windows enabled and disabled
starting/stopping the recording with both my hotkeys and the start/stop recording button in the OBS GUI
I'm outputting the file with the MP4 option.
Does any1 have any more suggestions, ideas or just wild guesses as to what i can do to fix this? I feel like i've tried every possible thing I could try. PLEASE I NEED HELP......
