If your OBS install is not on the same drive partition as Windows, you need to use Windows Explorer - %path%\OBS-Studio and set the folder Security properties to (add new group or user) ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES with permissions for Read & execute + List folder contents + Read (3 different permissions).

It's installed on the same drive as the Windows partitions however I have my videos saving to another drive.

I am brand new to OBS, and got the black screen problem when trying to record a live streaming that I watched (not a game). Got the audio, but no video, when doing short recording (< 5 minutes). I did make the "mistake" of recording directly to MP4. What should I rather use?
I tried a long recording ( 2 hours) that seems to be working (all be it with black screen; I'm more interested in recording the audio), but when I clicked on "stop recording" the button got stuck on "stopping recording" and I could not play the recording as if the file was not properly saved. What is the length limit (minutes or MB) of recording with OBS?
