started having this problem seemingly out of nowhere last week where using Game Capture results in a black screen with any game that I try running. Display capture works fine, and game capture still captures audio correctly. I have tried running in administrator, compatibility mode with Windows 7 and 8, and downgrading to version 24.0.3. I got it to work after disabling Game Mode, but the problem ended up reoccurring a few days later with Game Mode still off. I also learned that the same problem is happening to me in Streamlabs OBS. Your copy of Windows 10 is VERY outdated, and needs to be patched up to at least v2004, preferably the latest service pack.
Your logfile also does not contain which game you are trying to capture; some have not whitelisted the latest OBS GC hook, or have declined to do so entirely (Destiny 2, CSGO, a few others).

i'll go about updating my Windows 10 version now
also I can add that Game Capture has not worked for every fullscreen application I tried, which is Call of Duty Vanguard/Warzone, Forza Horizon 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and Civ 5.
so I updated my Windows 10 to version 21H1, and game capture worked! Until I restarted my game and it started to fail again :/
