Hey!

OBS has been working fine for me from time to time but now it's not working at all, got myself a new PC for streaming and gaming, everything was fine first, no problems streaming but after a couple of days it stopped working with DOTA 2(It works with other games).

I get this black screen problem that I've heard other have and yes I can switch to windowed mode but then the only thing shown is the options menu, nothing else, even if I'm in a game doing other stuff, it's just stuck showing the options menu. I can even see the mouse movement.

I've read the FAQ and it doesn't help me at all. Infact Minecraft in Window Mode that according to the FAQ should be a bit shady, actually works.

What could cause this problem and how do I fix it?

I have streamed (or rather used) Dota 2 quite a bit while testing OBS, experimenting with it and such and I have never run into the issue of the stream being stuck on the lobby window.

Here, wait a second... http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 298#p38298 -- Never mind the quality, I specifically used a low bitrate, to match the bitrate of tikigod317 (who I was helping with a Dota 2 issue as well).

See if you can possibly spot some difference between your settings and mine. Because, 1600x900 window... not a problem. Shouldn't be a problem either.

Omg xD I realised i could try window capture + borderless window mode. Works perfectly! I can even turn the game off and on again and the capture will recover itself.
