Question / Help Black Ops 4 - Extreme FPS Drop Only In OBS

So, I have a really nice PC. BO4 is the only game to do this. Have tried lowest settings in-game and all that stuff already. Game will run 60FPS (what I have it capped to) if I'm in a lobby by myself or a menu or something, but the minute I search for a game or get into one, goes from 60FPS to 17-25FPS. It's terrible. My actual game remains at 60FPS, but the stream lags hardcore.

Black Ops 4 is notorious for using up a lot of GPU regardless of your in-game settings if you don't limit the FPS in the first place, especially if you're playing the Blackout game mode. Monitor the GPU usage using the task manager with a capped framerate and see if you're still GPU limited.

I play Multiplayer, not Blackout, usually. Yeha, I just checked and it's using like 96% of my GPU. I had it capped at 105FPS. Switched to 60 and GPU automatically went down to 75-80% used. Interesting.

So i have experienced the same exact thing! But i have found a fix. You need to customize your fps limits. There are two of them. One is for your game, the other is for the menu. So far working with these i was able to fix my stream. I hope this helps.
