I am getting a black screen while trying to stream Black Mesa from Steam. I think this is the last log

Should add I'm running OBS as Admin and have no other capture devices running. Which is what the Analyze said.

Sorry to bother everyone. Looks like I need to run game as Admin also. Now just to find out how to make Black Mesa run as Admin!!

That does not seem to have fixed it. It gave the error saying the game needed to be ran in Admin mode but I am still getting a black screen and sound.

Last update before I head to bed for the night. Making a monitor capture will not capture the game either. I have tried a few things I found online like OpenGL and -force-d3d9 but neither of these options worked. I tried compatibility mode but that failed to resolve the black screen on this game only.

I can confirm other games like Heroes of the Storm works properly. Any assistance on this would be wonderful. I am off to bed! Hope we can resolve this for tomorrow so I can stream this game.

Still have not been able to resolve this issue. I was suggested to try 32 Bit instead of 64 Bit OBS. Do you think this would work?

Still have not been able to get this resolved. I see a "watched" icon near the thread but no one has taken the time to respond. I do not know if this means no one knows why its not working, or if no one cares. Getting pretty bummed that all my games work fine except for this one.

You tried disabling the steam overlay?

I disabled all overlays yes. When I have the black screen the icon i have as an overlay still appears. Not sure if that helps.

Oh wait the STEAM, my bad read that as Stream overlays. I had not! Going to try that next thank you!

double click on your game capture you made in OBS for black mesa and select anticheat hook. see if that works. After you get into game, change to a different scene then back again to see if it fixes it. If that doesn't work you might be stuck with window capture but you'll have to run your game in windowed or windowed no border.

Even in window capture its a black screen with only the mouse showing. I will try the anticheat hook and see if that works.

Window capture will need video in windowed mode.
