Against what the guys on this forum said, I got a really good deal on a bmis, and took it. I'm having issues with it. the main purpose is to stream Wii U games via HDMI. I'm getting audio, and I'm getting pass through video (assuming I have the bmis as source on obs, amarectv, media express etc. working as intended??) But i'm getting no video on the pc side, only audio.

Motherboard is an Asus M5A97 R2.0, with usb3 ports. reinstalled the usb drivers, no help.

I've tried versions 10.0 and 9.7.5, no difference.

setting are:
output: all active
input: hdmi video and audio
7.5 ire
NTSC
off
off

my wii u is set to 720p.

tried with composite cables, no video.

anyone have any knowledge on what's going on?

The Intensity needs to be set to be capturing the same signal as you're throwing at it -- 1280x720 with the right framerate (59.94, I want to say; might be 60). If it doesn't match what the WiiU is outputting, you're not gonna get video.

Last time I checked, the BMIS only worked on Intel, Renesas, and Fresco USB 3.0 controllers, which that motherboard does not have.

I'm not going to make any guarantees, but it will be more likely to work than your current mobo. At the very least, you will be in line with the manufacturer's requirements for USB 3.0 support.
