Question / Help Black Flashes in Video

I am a new user of OBS and I have run into some issues.
I am attempting to record Minecraft and I had resolution issues to start with and then I fixed it with this forum,

As I said this fixed the issue and the software worked fine until I changed the file output to .mp4. This is when the black flashes started to happen. They happen after recording in the video itself, not during game play. I switched it back to .flv and it still has the flashes. I tried not down scaling to 720p but it still persists.

Computer specs:
Lenovo y-50 UHD (I record in 1080)
4th Gen i7
16GB RAM
Nvidia Gforce 860M
Windows 10

The black flashes stem from nVidia optimus switching from your iGPU to your nVidia card.

Might check to make sure that the game is only able to run on the nVidia. check OBS as well. I would actually rebuild both of these to make sure that a driver update didn't mess with something.

Thanks alot this helped tremendously! I didn't realize that since the default was the Nvidia GPU, it could switch between the two. Once I set it for the Nvidia GPU it works flawlessly!! Thanks again!
