Hopefully this problem isn't too bad. I want to do recordings using OBS. I want to record at 720p (1280x720) as I can't record at 1080p without framerate problems. My monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080 so of course it recommends that when lowering the resolution, but my computer's hardware is insufficient for 1080p.

So I am recording at 720p, I have OBS' canvas and downscaling size set to 1280x720.

I am capturing the game through the Window Capture option. On OBS I can clearly see the black bars in question but I don't know how I can fit the window to fully fit the screen.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you very much!

Does anyone have any suggestions or are work-arounds the only option in my case? Work arounds being filling the black space with some other form of content.

There shouldn't be any black bars at a 16:9 resolution, but your image is returning 404 Not Found so it's difficult to understand exactly what the problem might be.

Do you actually game at 1080p or have you set your game to 720p too?

I only ask bevause your canvas is at 720p.

If you play at 1080p then set your canvas to that and the downscaling size to 720p.

If you actually game at 720p on a 1080p screen your gfx card will still stretch that image to fill your 1080p monitor. Im not quite sure what obs would do with that.

Probably, your source less than 1280x720. What transform dialog says to you (right click over the source Transform>Edit Transform...>Size parameter)?

If you not sure what Transform is, try OBS Studio Help Guide, there is some info about how to use basic options: https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...ware-studio-multiplatform-help-guide-pdf.365/

Oh it was actually the Transform issue, for some reason I had it on 687.then a bunch of other numbers. Thanks a lot! It was easy to fix the issue by adjusting it correctly to 720.
