Question / Help Black bars

I keep getting black bars i have changed resolution, i have tried monitor ,window ,game capture. i have tried stretch to screen and ignore aspect ratio. cant seem to get it to work any help would be great thanks

Just trying to record. Black bars are on the left and right side

Your monitor is a 16:10 monitor but you're trying to record in a 16:9 resolution. Try changing your resolution to 1280x800 instead.

Changed it to 1280x800 just zoomed it in so i cant see all of the game and still has black bars.

Ah, nevermind, I was looking at your earlier attempts, put it back to 1680x1050.

What are you using to watch the recorded video?

I have tried windows media player and i also tried VLC

And they have black bars even when you run the video in fullscreen mode?

Does the OBS preview have black bars?

OBS preview does not have black bars, Only the videos

So i have seemed to fix it i set it to 1920X1080 and the black bars are gone .... not sure why this worked
