Question / Help Black bars while streaming at 16:9 ratio

Hello,

I have been looking online for some time now and have yet to find a fix for this. Though I have OBS set to stream at 1080p downscaling to 720, I still get black bars on my stream. From what I know, the 16:9 aspect ratio is needed to remove said black bars which I am using. So I am unsure as to what else needs to be done.

Any ideas?

Nevermind! Found it! I came back to this thread as I learned that its the resolution your monitor is set to that matters. Not whats in OBS..(well it does in obs as well) but the bars come from using a monitor that is 16:10. So even if you set obs as 16:9 native, you will have bars still, unless you change your monitor to use a 16:9 resolution in the game you are playing.
