Question / Help Black bars and quality issues

Hello, I am planning on streaming the upcoming weeks to see how things work out. Because I personally really find quality one of the most important aspects of a stream I decided to do some test runs to see how the stream and the game both run. ( The game I plan on streaming is League of Legends )

Black bars
My computer specs aren't the issue in this matter, blackbars on the other hand are. The resolution of my monitor seems to be the main issue. The size of my monitor is 1680x1050 and therefore has an odd aspect ratio ( 8:5 ) compared to the 16:9 that Twitch requires. I have been looking through multiple forumposts to find a solution, but sadly none seem to work. I tried downscaling my resolution to 1280x720 however this is how OBS looks after downscaling to this resolution ; https://gyazo.com/e7e7c3935802594802b54edc23691037 . I tried downscaling it on both the game capture and the monitor capture. For whatever reason I am able to remove the blackbars on the monitor capture version, however the quality is really bad compared to the game capture. No matter what I try, even if I try to edit the scene, and edit the scene myself it's impossible to remove the black bars with this method. This is how monitor capture looks ; https://gyazo.com/71ca665ef16ecebad8b50a3b5470f3a2 . As you can see there are no blackbars in this version ( sorry for the OBS ception ). I also tried upscaling the resulation to 1920x1080, however this seems to provide the same issue. I am really hoping someone can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

Change the game settings to a 16:9 resolution.

Also Monitor Capture isn't recommended.

Isnt there ignore aspect ratio and stretch image to fullscreen settings in your gamegapture properties?

Depending on the game, stretching may look bad.

If you want to use game's native resolution, really should stick with the same aspect ratio. Recording/streaming at 8:5 ratio have an added benefit for 4:3 and 8:5 ratio monitor when using full screen, no black bars at the left and right side. You can test this yourself if you have twitch past broadcast recording on.

Twitch don't require any specific resolutions or ratio, I first started streaming at 720x404 and it looked great as an s-video 480i capture from PS3. (my capture card was capturing at 720x480 with a blend deinterlace mode).

Maybe use 1152x720 resolution, allows YouTube upload to not scale/resize to 720p, yet full screen without black borders on the sides for 4:3 and 8:5 ratio monitor.
